Bridgestone lost 27.5 billion yen in the first nine months

recently, Bridgestone announced that it lost 27.5 billion yen in the first nine months, while its net profit in the same period last year was 49.47 billion yen on the time setting page

due to the decline in demand caused by the economic downturn, Bridgestone's sales profit in the first nine months was 1.9 trillion yen, down 25.2% from 54.74 million tons of waste foam granulator; Operating profit fell to 12.1 billion yen from 119.2 billion yen in the same period last year. Bridgestone attributed its losses to the appreciation of the yen and the rise in raw material prices

Bridgestone also lowered its profit forecast for the whole year of 2009. Its loss forecast for the whole year of 2009 was increased from 6billion yen to 10billion yen, and its operating profit forecast was reduced from 61billion yen to 60billion yen
