Bridgestone expands the production capacity of Japanese giant engineering radial tires

Bridgestone announced recently that in order to meet the growing global demand faster, it will invest about $60million to expand the production capacity of its Kitakyushu plant in Japan. The factory produces large and super large radial construction machinery tires for construction and mining vehicles. The investment also includes expanding the capacity of the company's large and super large steel cord factories for radial construction machinery tires in saga, Japan. The total investment of the two projects will reach 4.7 billion yen (about 382million pounds)

therefore, the plan requires that the production capacity of Kitakyushu plant be expanded to about 20 tons/day, reaching about 165 tons/day by the first half of 2014. Previously, Bridgestone has planned to build a new large and super large radial construction machinery tire factory in Aiken County, South Carolina. The factory is expected to put into operation in the first half of 2014. It said that due to a large amount of cutting heat generated in the production process, the equipment is seriously worn, and the instrumentation products are too widely put into operation
